David Hiranaka, MD , DMD
Dr. David Hiranaka is a Harvard trained, physician and surgeon, board certified in both facial cosmetic surgery and oral and maxillofacial surgery. He received his medical and dental degrees from Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine respectively. He completed an integrated internship/residency in General Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He concluded his training with a year-long fellowship in aesthetic facial plastic surgery at the Institute of Facial Surgery in Salt Lake City.
Dr. Hiranaka is certified by both the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face and neck from skeleton to skin. He and his team of aestheticians have been beautifying faces in Kona for over 12 years.
Dr. Hiranaka is devoted to maintaining the highest standards of patient care through continuing medical education. He has completed clinical research and published articles in the areas of facial skeletal reconstruction and facial aesthetic surgery. He has lectured to doctors and the public on topics such as Contemporary Facial Aesthetic Surgery, Treatment of Photoaged Skin, Orthognathic (Reconstructive Jaw) Surgery as well as Rejuvenation of the Aging Face. In his continuing effort to improve patient care and remain on the cutting edge of new technologies, he routinely spends over 100 hours each year on continuing medical education.
